About The Stones I'd like to give you an idea of the stones I work with, listed here alphabetically: Agates: A huge group of banded Chalcedony, which includes, Blue Lace Agate, Moss Agate, & Fancy Agate to name a few. Amazonite: a wonderful blue-green mineral originally found in Brazil along the Amazon River. Amethyst, Ametrine, Apatite, Aventurine, Azurite, Bloodstone, Carnelian, Chalcedony, Charoite, Cinnabar, Citrine, Fluorite, Garnet, Hematite, Iolite, Jade, Jasper: another huge group of stones including Picture Jasper, Kambaba Jasper, Rainforest Jasper, Fancy Jasper, Red Jasper and Unakite Jasper. Kyanite, Labradorite, Lapis Lazuli, Lepidolite, Moonstone; including Rainbow Moonstone. Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Peridot, Quartz: also a large group of colors, Rhodochrosite, Rhodonite, Ruby, Serpentine, Sugilite, Sunstone, Tiger Eye, Tourmaline, Turquoise and Ruby Zoisite. In the logo at the top of the page you see Azurite & Kyanite in the bracelet. Azurite is a dark blue mineral in its crystalline form, but its usually found in a massive form with other minerals, like Malachite, a bright green. So the Azurite I use in bead form is Azurite with Malachite mixed in. Some of the places it is found are Arizona, New Mexico & China. Kyanite is found in Brazil, Mexico, South Africa & the US. They are elongated crystals primarily in shades of blues with from very dark to shiny clearer areas. They also come in green, black, pink or yellow. If you see variation in the color of the stones, it is more likely to be it's natural color. |
